Welcome to the Laughing Forest

Had a pleasant stay there with my family. We were there attending a wedding. We encountered a welcoming hostess, Debbie, and friendly and helpful staff. The venue s clean and neat with direct access to the beach. To top it off, the food s fantastic! Lots of gratitude, thank you.

Phil and Debbie are the owners of this venue. An exceptional place to have a wedding venue and the food prepared by Menzy are top quality. The barman, Retief, also known as Bloemdozi, is an added bonus to this great venue.

My wife and I were looking for an all-inclusive wedding venue, but for a small group of people, 30 in total.
The Laughing Forest Venue ticked all the boxes.
It has a beautiful ocean view with all the decorations and a three (3) course menu s included.
Best of all, it s affordable!
The owner, Debbie, with her husband Phil, runs a tidy ship.
The venue is very neat, well maintained and felt classy.
On our wedding day, 23 November 2024, everything ran smoothly!
The guests couldn't stop talking about that gorgeous view.
The meals that were served were top-class as well.
As part of the package, Debbie provided the honeymoon suite for the bride and groom. There s an unexpected gift placed in our room which made us feel very special.
This s a perfect end to a perfect day.
It s a bittersweet moment when we had to leave as Debbie really went out of her y in the months prior to our wedding to assist us in every y possible.
I highly recommend this venue to any couple who wishes to get married and have a pleasant and hassle-free experience!

Stayed with a large group (about 32 of us) and had such a wonderful time over December.
Massive bonus being the direct access to a wonderful stretch of coastline & views of the ocean from many of the rooms (keep an eye out for dolphins 🐬 )
Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a seaside wedding venue or even a beach getaway with family & friends.
Some small issues with the geyser in one of our units & we may have broken the mic stand (so a bit of give & take I guess?)... but Debbie & her staff were excellent hosts throughout our stay.
Food s delicious & special requirements were catered for quite well.
Rooms were cozy with enough to sleep 3-4 (Double Beds, singles &/or bunks)
Staff were lovely, friendly & always willing to help out where they could.
The Laughing Forest team really made us feel at home & I'm practically plotting a reason to come back here.
P.S. keep an eye out for jewelry on the samd at low tide, some of us donated things to the sea while swimming around 😅

I had the privilege of have my wedding at this amazing venue. I wish I could get married over and over again just to be at this enchanting place. The food s awesome and most importantly Debbie and her team are so friendly, helpful and we had the best service. Thanks again for your support and going out of your y to make our day memorable.

What an amazing place run by passionate people. We booked the date night special and boy did we feel special. The room we stayed in s beautifully decorated inside and out and oozed of romance. A stunning dinner table setup on our deck with a bottle of red and rose petals scattered everywhere. Dinner s magnificent, the steak s the best we've ever had so our complements to the Chef. Brekkie in the morning s delicious and the beach s breathtakingly beautiful and accessible from the property. The special care and tremendous effort that Debbie, Phill and their staff put into The Laughing Forest is seen a round every corner of the property. Thank you for making our date night so special. Ps if you feel the need to reconnect with nature make sure go for a lk in the laughing forest.

We were guests at an amazing wedding. Rooms are clean and well equipped - room 4 has a lovely sea view. Dinner at the wedding s so good - all the guests where raving about the food. Debbie and her staff go out of their y to help make everything extra special🌻🎉

We have just had the privilege to have our son’ s wedding at The Laughing Forest. Over and above the amazing cabins and view, the service and assistance s unbelievable! Such caring people and nothing is to much. Debbie, you and your support staff have been so accommodating, helpful and friendly at all times. Thank you. You really go above and beyond.

Held my wedding here a few weeks ago, and all I can say is wow. The venue,views and cabins were all lovely, but the service from Debbie and her team is simply outstanding! Everything s absolutely perfect!
