I contacted star hiring on the 14 July for a tent for 10 October 2025.
Communication s very poor, battled to get hold of someone for quotations had to a few times. Should have immediately looked for someone to assist. Lo g story short. I could never get hold of anyone the first few times I d had to PMB no for contacts. At the end I dealt with 6 people before getting the owners name and no. Who I contacted and s then informed the tables I paid for is not what I am nting after I send photo's of what I nted on and s. Just as well I contacted them as I needed another table which they could not assist me with. I s then also told that the tent I got for 70 people is not big enough. And they could not confirm time of delivery for friday morning I had to keep on asking and phoning. So I s informed the lady that assisted me no longer works their but y people ltr and they could not get it right. I eventually threatened with the witness, hello Peter ext. The owner send me the tables I nted and I 5 meter bigger tent but the colour s not the same as what i nted and the chairs s white instead if beige.when they arrived to put the tent up with the lights the lights s not working. They plugged it into the same power point that I s using for a week. So I unplugged their extension and plugged mine in again and showed the guy installing it that the boom box and the wifi is working of the extension he plugs his cellphone in and it does not charged and ls me the power is not working whilst the boom box and my wifi is plugged in and working all on the same multiple. I s speech less🙊 after a while they found that it s their extension that s faulty. Also after getting hold of the manager regarding these issues he said he would me back shortly after two and a half hrs I had to him again. STAR HIRING A DEFINITE NO GO FOR THE FUTURE and they will definitely not get a recommendation from me.

Uncle abdul haq is a true 'star', really will go out of his y to make your event the best he possible can. They also have a touch of class ive never seen in an event company. Will definitely be using Star Hiring again!!!

My initial order with Star Hiring s done of the 05/05/25 for tables....additionally to the existing order i needed additional items of which the lady in store requested i send her an and follow up with her which s done and didn't respond.
2 days before my function i recieved a very arrogant from Shaista who said there are no tables available as they needed payment. I requested an amended quote / Invoice to process payment which s not recieved after adding additional items.
Only to be told, they previous lady s not a sales rep and didn't know.
Shaista gave me an alternative of square tables which s NOT an option for my event and arrogantly asked me if don't know when hosting my own function with attitude.
As a corporate marketing event manager I would not recommend this company and the unprofessionalism handled in this situation, is of poor quality.
Updated requests are never given and the lines rings continously or out of order.
Management of Star Hiring, if this is how your staff behaves with rudeness and attitude towards new clients you will surely lose alot of business.

I hired items for a function, the items where damaged, broken and usable.
Sent an through and a what'sapp. The person on what'sapp (no name given) s extremely rude and insinuated I s lying.
"well if you going to keep it for the day then return tom there's no refund bec people try all diff tricks sorry"
I didn't ask to keep the items.
The other part of the response s "it is usable but hard to satisfy every client"
No apologies no remorse just bad attitude and pathetic customer service.
If you nt your event ruined and an embarrassing moment of shoddy chairs and tables hire from them.
Its the morning of my event and I have to now run around for new tables & chairs.

I've been ing Abdul the owner for my deposit and he's been saying he'll pay back for days now. He's lying and saying he'll pay and I it and there's nothing.

What a terrible business. We requested a quote at 11am and were given the run around all day. They battled to give us a quotation. We eventually had to look for alternatives after story after story. Use these guys at your own risk, but I would advise you to keep away. Find another business. Reliability is not Star Hiring's best feature. They are horrible.

I ed in for a quote on a marquee. I s told to come and fetch someone and take him to my place to measure then drop him back. That is the most unprofessional thing I have ever heard.
On contacting the owner, were I did make him aware that it's the small people that have put him where he is, firstly he didn't even take the time to me back. Rather he responded back with messages saying that it's not me who put him where he is but God. He s very rude and I wish him all the luck because he has lost a client. There are many more up and coming businesses that do need the small people.

You can get almost all u need for catering here. People at the front desk were friendly and so are the staff in general. The delivery and pick up price is a bit high and I feel Thats what puts people off a little. They have a nice show room and the girls know their stuff. Thanks guys

Star Hiring is the name, Abdul the owner is a great host and a big brother.
For all your event infrastructure, its the place. Great goods and great service. Value for money

A year ago I had an issue with this company returning my deposit but I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and try again.
No-one answers any s, messages (although they get read) or s. I am honestly so disgusted by the lack of service.
I would give a 0 if it s possible. NEVER AGAIN.
