The only AFFORDABLE WHITE bar I could find after a long hard search in Johannesburg. Furniture s beautiful, in great condition and dealing with Wouter s easy and convenient. 1 star missing because they do not offer delivery and collection for orders under R5000 which s an inconvenience. Add the service and would gladly pay if reasonable. Thank you!

Friendly, helpful staff. Just needed hire easels for the day on short notice. My needs were accommodated at a very reasonable price and s not even required to pay the deposit. Customer centric indeed. Best service
Update: I received a from the owner, Wouter, who detailed the hiring process and where errors were made from both sides regarding my order.
When collecting your order, double check the items before you sign for them.
I take it that if you are a large company or have an account with them, everything runs smoothly. However as an individual I had a sub-par experience. Here's my rant.
Firstly, you can never get hold of anyone. Their numbers either don't work or nobody answers. When you eventually place an order, nobody responds to your mails so you are not sure if the items are booked or not. Stressful to say the least.
I rented 5 strings of lights for my wedding, and they did look beautiful, yet dealing with their staff is a ball ache.
When collecting the items, staff were not extremely willing to help but eventually pointed out the items and happy to see me leave. There s no counting of lights or bulbs in front of me, I assumed that everything s in order.
Once we had the lights setup, I realised that there were 66 fittings in total but there were 4 missing bulbs and a broken fitting. Not a problem, I bought extra bulbs for the available spots and happily carried on with my wedding.
(The wires were bare at certain links and one of my groomsmen s electrocuted when we were testing them, so make sure to check the products before use)
Upon the return of the lights I s scrutinized- told that there must be 75 bulbs or I can expect to pay for the missing items. After unpacking and counting each fitting and bulb, like a preschool teacher, I showed the gentleman that there were only 66 fittings in total, 1 broken fitting and 1 missing bulb- because of the broken fitting I only replaced the 3 missing bulbs.
He then hinted at the fact that I had tampered with the strings.
Then he told me I would be charged for the missing bulb.
HE THEN TOLD ME I WOULD BE CHARGED FOR THE BROKEN FITTING.
After much debate, the staff member ed the guy who put the strings together. His response: Not sure how many there are per string. Go figure!
I thought this all could be resolved over mail with the manager / owner / assistant, Candy, once she sent me the R75 rand bill (for a fitting and a bulb that s broken and missing before I even collected them). Not a chance- her staff are right and I am in the wrong, to quote:
"Our terms and conditions explain all of this in detail."
Needless to say I am not a happy customer, and I wouldn't recommend them unless you REALLY have to use them- and if you have to, just cover your arse from the beginning.
Wow! As a business owner who always goes the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction, I am blown away by this company's dismissive attitude and gob smacking unhelpfulness when responding to enquiries about furniture hire. If the owner is wondering 'where to' I would be more than happy to offer up a few suggestions!
