Budget accommodation, very comfortable, though. We stayed in one of the units on the hill this time, they look better than the other ones, BUT there are 2 units attached, ABSOLUTELY NO sound barrier, it is gross to listen to the nightly maneuvers of not so quiet people. The place need serious maintenance as well. Every year we get here the place has deteriorated.
Please bring your own drinking ter, theirs are brak.

My stay there s terrible. No ter to shower or flush the toilet. No cutlery or a plate to eat from or a kettle. The TV and the airconditioning didn't work. It's dirty and years behind on maintenance. Doors are stuck or they can't close. Chimney by the braai s blocked. Open electrical wires on the TV plug ready to electricute someone. I will not recommend this place to anyone.

Terrible experience. Do not recommend. Noisy chalets with bedroom door separating units. No maintenance whatsoever. Mouldy bathrooms. Door handles and towel rails falling off. My son fell off the dilapidated jungle gym, one of the rusty moneky bars came off and he fell on his back and injured himself badly. The swimming pool gate remains open. One towel for 3 people. No microwave just a dodgy two plate stove. Awful experience.

We went to a wedding reception. The reception s very nice BUT the reception started at 17h00 and the doors were stiĺl locked. All around the place looks a disgrace with long grass, greenish pools to name but a few. Not a good impression to out of town visitors. I suggest you step up and start cutting grass and catching up with some maintenance. I will not recommend people going there.

Arrived late in Grahamstown and just stopped at the first place we saw. Price s good. Room appeared neat. Fireplace outside so we could pop a few steaks on the coals. No fridge, no stove, no aircon and most annoyingly - no ter. Couldn’t shower after a long day or the following morning. lls are paper thin and the couple next door were quite vocal. Front door literally had an inch gap between frame and door. Inexpensive, but don’t expect much more than adequate. My son slept in his sleeping bag as he s worried about whether the room s used the precious night like the next door one. Definitely an experience. O, and there is no wifi even though it is advertised.

This is a great place to stay if you nt to save money. It is not as expensive as other guest houses, and yet has some good chalets with separate bedrooms and bathrooms, and a decent sized living area.||||This is basic, and for the lower-then-average prices do not expect what you would get at the higher-priced guest houses. ||||I will stay here regularly on my trips to Grahamstown, since I do not need more than this, and prefer to cook my own breakfast rather than to have a large breakfast which I often do not nt. The cooking facilities are basic, but sufficient.||||The TV did not work well, but this s not a problem for me. ||||The largest single issue is that this is outside of the cell network access areas and the WiFi only works from some of the chalets.||||The parking is also an issue for some of the chalets, with some steep drops between the levels and no guards, so be careful at night time.||||This is a little y out of town (about 5 mins), and be aware that you will need to get your provisions in town, and there are not a lot of shops which stay open late.

We stayed at the resort for one night over science festival in Grahamstown. The trip s a disaster from the beginning. Arriving at the chalet, we found the place to be poorly maintained (by any standards). The door handles were falling off, the windows were cracked, the bathroom s an extreme health hazard with the amount of mold growing on the lls, bath and basin, the shower curtain s dirty, the doors were filthy. There were hardly any utensils, no microwave just a dodgy two plate stove and the place s generally very run down.||||To top it off, all chalets are separated by an internal bedroom door. We had a bunch of teenage schoolchildren staying next to us. We would hear everything including the giggling, shouting, door slamming etc. This went on until about 12pm at night.||||The worst of it all s when my four year old fell off the dilapidated and ill kept jungle gym. The rusty monkey bar came loose while he s climbing and he fell hard onto his back and badly injured himself. The see saw had rusty nails coming out of the seat and the pool gates remain open - a serious danger to small children.||||I do not recommend this place for families or those nting a quiet holiday. The price of the place is completely unjustified.

A well run resort offering everything from camping to chalets. The resort has many facilities available and good gate security 24/7. The campsites are especially nice considering that each site has its own dedicated bathroom that is lockable. The chalets are very basic but all excellent vaue for money and friendly reservations staff.

This is a gem of a place. This resort is one of a few that have individual ablution facilities for each camp site but sadly very neglected. There is a lovely large pool with a smaller children pool to cool off during the hot summer weather, but again not maintained well. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the rates are very affordable.
