In the United States she pursued Visual Arts and served as Head Chef and Co-ordinator for dinner parties hosted by the Consul General of South Africa to the USA. A move to São Paulo, Brazil, provided the space to hone her baking flair, and in 2012 she established her own cake art business. This international journey informs a polished service ethos and a creative approach that blends culinary discipline with visual storytelling.

I am yet to come across another baker who is as thorough in their presentation as Cake Decadence. The edible flower decoration or birthday signature is always well placed and demonstrates Najwa’s impressive skill as a baker. Decorative skills aside, Najwa never fails to deliver on taste and texture. She is always excited to discuss your ideas which will translate to more than what you hand in mind!
Fantastic customer service from Najwa! On a very short notice Cake Decadence supplied us with a beautiful carrot cake, lemon cake, w kinds of curries, quiches, sausage rolls etc My family really enjoyed every bite and the fact that they didn't have to cook for a birthday get together.
