If you don't go up the cableway you will definitely miss out. Pensioners discount for SA citizens and doing the Fast Track not worth it when it's not busy. Use their app it really helps with iting times and weather conditions. Really worth the trip and the views are magnificent. Birthday month is free so take advantage.

Once at the summit, the views are absolutely spectacular — sweeping vistas of Cape Town, the Atlantic Ocean, and the surrounding mountains. The air is fresh, the scenery is breathtaking, and there are plenty of lking paths to explore. Be sure to check the cableway app for weather updates, as trips may be cancelled due to conditions, but the good news is your tickets remain valid for the next day if needed. A world-class attraction and highly recommended

Absolutely mind blowing views from the top. In the morning it s closed because of high winds. Fortunately the winds calmed down and the cable car s operational. So keep checking through the day.
We went just before the sunset and got great views!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing service at Table Mountain!
During our visit to Table Mountain, we unfortunately lost our car keys and were very stressed. One of the staff members went above and beyond to help us. He stayed with us the whole time and assisted us until we finally got our keys back.
His kindness, patience, and dedication meant so much to us. It’s rare to find someone who cares that much about helping visitors. Because of him, what started as a stressful situation turned into a very positive experience.
Thank you for having such amazing staff. This employee truly deserves recognition, a raise, or even a promotion for the outstanding service he provided!
His name is Shafiek

Go early to find parking and beat the rush. I ited around 20 mins to catch the first one up and it s worth it. Carry sunblock and wear comfortable shoes. There will be a lot of people, locals and tourists but the views and the experience of being up there is incredible

I went up late afternoon and it felt like the city exhaled as the car lifted off. In minutes the streets, horns, and bustle were just patterns under glass and we were in cool air with that big blue edge of ocean beyond it all. On top I followed the paths like a kid in a new garden, stopping at every gap in the rocks for another angle of Lion’s Head and the Twelve Apostles. I took the required photos and then put my away because the light kept changing every few seconds.
What I loved most s how quiet it gets if you nder thirty steps off the main lookout. You can hear your shoes scuff the stone and the wind run its fingers over the fynbos. I found a flat rock, sat, and tched the city turn gold. People around me did the same nod strangers do when something is simply good. The ride down s all soft chatter and a few happy yawns.

Awesome operation from start to finish. The team at the base gave us real-time tips on wind, visibility, and which paths up top were easiest for our group. They nudged us toward a less-crowded lookout and it paid off—great photos, no elbowing. On the y down, a staffer marked a couple of nearby stops for sunset snacks. Efficient, cheerful, and clearly focused on making your experience smooth.

Spectacular views of Cape Town at the top of Table Mountain. Really expensive entry though and despite this it is still so popular.
Be prepared to it a while depending on the time of day and the weather conditions. We ited around 30mins mid morning on a Sunday. We had about 15 mins at the top with visibility before the weather started closing in on us. On our descent we could see nothing. There are lots of adorable Cape Hyrax / Dassies to see at the top and several lking trails.
There are two large cable cars that hold about 50 people squashed in like sardines. The cart rotates slowly for a full 360 by the time (5min) it reaches the destination. I got blocked in with people on all sides in both directions with not an inch of spare space. Bear this in mind if you get claustrophobic.
Exit via the giftshop!

An unforgettable experience! The Table Mountain cable car in Cape Town s absolutely fantastic. We arrived around 10:30 AM and ited about 25 minutes to get on — definitely worth the short it. The cable car slowly rotates as you ascend, giving everyone a 360-degree view of the breathtaking scenery.
Once at the top, the views are simply incredible — you can see the entire city of Cape Town, the Atlantic Ocean, and the surrounding mountains, including the iconic Lion’s Head. The panoramic views are a photographer’s dream!
We spent about 2–3 hours exploring the top, taking in the amazing scenery and spotting some of the local wildlife. We saw rock hyraxes (also known as dassies), colorful lizards, and a variety of birds.
Such a unique and memorable experience — a must-do if you’re in Cape Town!

By far not enough shade to it in 2.5 hour cues. Poor management of cues. No bathrooms by cue area. Going down another cue no to very little shade. Almost no where to sit and I have a hip issue. Very expensive for locals! s already in cue by 8:30 am and too little parking.Umbrellas lying closed on the ground.
