We used Something Borrowed for our wedding and overall the items themselves were good quality and suited the event well.
However, I would like to share a piece of constructive feedback around the delivery and return process, as this unfortunately led to an unnecessary dispute afterwards.
At delivery there s no joint checking of the stock, and on collection only the boxes were counted without verifying what s inside them. Because of this, if any items are broken during the process, there is no clear y for either the client or the company to verify exactly when or how that breakage occurred. Even during a conversation it s mentioned that the drivers often don’t have time to check inventory on delivery or collection.
This creates a difficult situation for both sides, as it becomes impossible for a client to confidently confirm what s actually broken during the event versus what may have happened during transport or handling.
I did try to ask questions about this process, but unfortunately the conversation became quite personal rather than focusing on resolving the issue.
In the end, I even returned some additional items directly to their premises myself to ensure everything s sorted out properly. Ironically, when I arrived they didn’t realise it s me and were discussing the situation quite negatively, which s a little disappointing considering my only intention s to resolve things amicably.
My suggestion would simply be that Something Borrowed implement a clearer inventory checking process during both delivery and collection. This would protect both the company and their clients and avoid misunderstandings in the future.
Aside from that process issue, the products themselves were good and I hope the feedback helps improve the experience for future customers.
