Mont Blanche is a versatile events venue set on a tranquil smallholding in the South of Johannesburg, in Tedderfield, Midvaal. The setting and facilities suit both large and smaller gatherings, from weddings and graduations to birthdays, funerals and other milestone occasions. The venue embraces a flexible, self catering approach that lets hosts bring or make their own food, supply their own drinks and add décor that reflects their style.

At the heart of the property is an exceptionally large reception hall measuring 36 metres by 20 metres. It can seat up to 600 guests without a dance floor, or 450 with a dance floor, which makes it ideal for sizeable wedding receptions, school and kindergarten graduations, end of year events and corporate functions. The hall is fully draped in white with scalloped edges and fairy lights for an elegant canvas, and partitioning is available to create a more intimate layout for smaller guest counts or for sectional use during programmes. A raised stage supports ceremonies, speeches and performances, adding practicality for graduations and formal presentations.

Ceremonies are well supported by the on site chapel, which seats up to 180 guests. A dedicated bridal dressing room provides a comfortable and private space to prepare, and the flow from chapel to reception is straightforward for guests. The broader venue is wheelchair friendly and there is ample secure parking, adding peace of mind for planners and attendees alike.

Mont Blanche is completely self catering, which gives hosts control over menus, beverages and styling. The venue includes a large kitchen equipped with three fridges, a large deep freeze and four gas plates to support food preparation and service. You are free to bring your own drinks and décor, making it easier to tailor the event to your preferences. Access from 5am allows for early setup, and on selected dates access from 7am the day before may be possible, which is helpful for elaborate installations and staging.

Families are well considered. Children are welcome, and child friendly entertainment such as jumping castles is available for hire, provided supervision is in place. In addition to the main facilities, there is a separate children’s party venue on the premises that features a full playground, child friendly bathrooms and a choice of three enclosed rooms with a large patio. This dedicated area is a convenient option for kids’ parties or for creating a supervised children’s zone alongside a larger function.

The grounds offer attractive outdoor spots that work for both celebrations and photography. A fountain area and koi pond provide a scenic backdrop for wedding portraits, family photos and outdoor toasts. These features add variety to event itineraries, from garden style welcome drinks to relaxed photo sessions between ceremony and reception.
