We hired some goods from Party Hire – Edenvale on 10 August 2016 and we paid a deposit which would be reimbursed in two weeks. After a week I ed Amaryn to find out if she had received my , she thought she had answered my as she had confused me with another customer.
A month after hiring the goods, I finally received my deposit back minus the cost of shing glasses (fair enough) and one glass for a sundry charge. I sent an requesting that if we have been charged for a glass we should be able to keep the glass. She replied that we may collect it; I sent my driver and noticed that the glass s not the one that s collected after the party. I then responded by saying that it s not the glass as the glasses we check didn’t have a crack (in fact we couldn’t see any damaged glasses) perhaps she confused it with another customer. She would check - sure enough the kitchen staff had switched the labels? She had set aside the glass and asked if I would collect the correct one and return the other. She said that they were unable to deliver or collect damages or shortages.
I responded by saying that I s not impressed at all, a month to refund our deposit, confusing me with another customer, mixing up my returns, collection of a glass that s her fault at my expense. I s not happy and nted the manager to me. She responded by saying that the damage glass s signed with our driver when he collected the goods and if we nted the glass we should have taken the glass then. She continued by saying that they were in their busy season and difficult for them to take time out of their schedule to deliver one glass. Management is aware of the situation as she reported it straight away.
I still nted a manager to contact me and received no response - that s 13 October 2016. I searched the internet for an alternative number, all the numbers Amaryn would answer and I would not be able to get past her to speak to a manager. The invoice had no details of directors etc. They are also not registered on Hello Peter.
