I recently purchased a cake from Merciful Cakes to celebrate a big milestone, and I s so impressed that the owner recreated the cake exactly like the inspiration picture I provided! This is the second year that I have ordered my celebration cakes at Merciful Cakes. All the Cakes we have had so far is amazing. The attention to detail is outstanding, as well as being accommodating to our needs. The flavour is out of world, all my guests are always impressed with the cakes and always asks for a piece to take home afterwards. Merciful Cakes is my go to for any celebration as well as baking needs.

I am extremely disappointed with the cake pops I ordered. They were dry, crumbly, and completely lacking the rich, moist texture that any decent cake pop should have. What s meant to be a special themed treat of cake pops for my childs birthday, turned into a total ste, I couldn’t even serve.
We had to make a last-minute dash to Woolworths to buy replacement cakes, an unnecessary expenditure and something I really didn’t nt to do. I genuinely regret not sticking to my usual bakery. I decided to try this one because it’s closer, and honestly thought there’s no y anyone could mess up a simple cake pop recipe. I s wrong.
If you value quality, look elsewhere. I strongly suggest this bakery takes the time to sample what competitors are producing — it might help them understand what “fresh” and “moist” actually mean; cake pops are NOT supposed to be dry. 😠
The most delicious sponge cake with a lemon flavour and lemon curd between the layers. Look forward to ordering my next cake here.

This cake s the best I have had in a long time. Really moist and hearty. I had the chocolate flavour with caramel filling, loooovveeed it as did all my guests. Next time I'll try other flavours.
